llms.txt checker and generator
Does your site have an llms.txt, and does it follow the format? If not, you get a draft built from your homepage's menu — to edit and publish.
What is llms.txt?
A short Markdown file at the root of a site: its name, a summary and links to the pages worth reading — written for language models rather than for browsers.
Is it an official standard?
No. It is a proposal (llmstxt.org, Jeremy Howard, 2024), open for comments. It is used widely: OpenAI, Anthropic and Google publish their own for their developer docs, and Chrome's Lighthouse checks for one. It does not change your Google ranking.
Where does the file go?
At the root: yourdomain.com/llms.txt, as plain text. A file in a folder covers only the pages under that folder.
